SMS Consent Policy

This page describes the consent process for the JB Ventures Operational SMS Program. JB Ventures LLC ("JB Ventures," "we," or "us") sends transactional SMS to recipients across our operational systems. All SMS recipients fall into one of four groups, and each group has a documented opt-in process described below.

Quick reference: Reply STOP to any message to opt out. Reply HELP for assistance. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency is event-driven, typically a few per day per recipient during active operations.

1. Farm and Freight Customers

What you receive: Order, pickup, and delivery receipts; pre-arrival heads-up notifications when a JB Ventures driver is en route to your facility.

How you opt in

When you place an order with JB Ventures by phone, in person at our facility, or via email, you verbally provide your mobile number and explicitly consent to receive operational SMS related to your order. Your consent is documented in your customer record at the time of the order.

How to opt out

Reply STOP to any message at any time. You will receive one confirmation message, after which we will stop sending SMS to that number.

2. JB Ventures Employees

What you receive: Operational notifications regarding your schedule, clock-in events, timekeeping, payroll, and time-off (PTO) requests, as well as notifications related to other employees' clock-in events when applicable to your role (for example, managers receiving alerts about employees clocking in without a scheduled shift).

How you opt in

As a condition of employment with JB Ventures, each employee signs a written employment agreement that includes an SMS-consent clause. By signing the agreement, you acknowledge receipt of operational notifications related to your job and authorize JB Ventures to send SMS to the mobile number on file for you in our employee records.

How to opt out

Reply STOP to any message at any time. Opting out of SMS does not affect your employment, but please notify your manager so we can update your contact preferences and provide operational information through an alternate channel.

3. Hauling Customers and Contracted Drivers

What you receive: Dispatch, route, load, and rate-confirmation notifications related to your active freight account or hauling contract with JB Ventures. Some messages include a link to a secure driver portal at drivers.our-employee-ventures.com for confirming delivery details, completing required paperwork, or logging trip information.

How you opt in

Hauling customers (shippers and consignees) consent when establishing a freight account with JB Ventures, providing their mobile number and authorizing SMS notifications related to dispatch, routes, loads, and rate confirmations. Consent is documented in your customer record at the time the account is established.

Contracted drivers (including owner-operators and third-party haulers) consent when accepting a hauling contract with JB Ventures. The contract includes an SMS-consent clause acknowledging receipt of dispatch and operational notifications, including links to the driver portal for confirming details and logging trip information.

How to opt out

Reply STOP to any message at any time. You will receive one confirmation message, after which we will stop sending SMS to that number.

4. Business Partners with Active Accounts

What you receive: Document, signature, and account notifications related to your ongoing business relationship with JB Ventures.

How you opt in

Consent is captured at account setup, either through a written agreement, signed contract, or verbal authorization documented in your account record.

How to opt out

Reply STOP to any message at any time. You will receive one confirmation message, after which we will stop sending SMS to that number.

Message Volume and Content

For all groups, message frequency is event-driven. Most recipients receive a few messages per day during active operations. Messages are transactional and never promotional. JB Ventures does not send marketing or advertising SMS.

We do not share your phone number or any information collected through our SMS program with third parties for marketing purposes. See our Privacy Policy for full details on data handling.

Carriers and Rates

Standard message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier. JB Ventures is not responsible for carrier charges. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
